Ark Resources & VPELA
The Victorian Planning and Environmental Law Association (VPELA) is the peak body for planning and environmental law professionals in Victoria. It brings together lawyers, planners, consultants, government representatives, and other industry stakeholders to advance the practice and understanding of planning law across the state.
Ark Resources has been a long-standing member of VPELA for more than 20 years. Over that time, our team has built deep experience in the planning and legal dimensions of environmentally sustainable design, contributing technical expertise to outcomes for both private and public sector clients across Victoria.
A key part of this involvement is our role as expert ESD witnesses at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT). Jan Talacko has appeared at VCAT hearings on behalf of clients, providing independent expert opinion on ESD matters including energy efficiency, water management, and sustainability reporting requirements under relevant planning schemes and policies.
